- Overlooking gorgeous Granada in Andalucia, these Moorish palaces date from the 11th to 14th centuries. Along with the Generalife gardens, worth more than a day's visit (we took two, and returned later one evening to watch Flamenco in Carlos V's gaudy Renaissance palace).

The angle of this is unique -- not because it looks up, but because it obscures the spiral and makes it look like concentric rings. Before I saw the caption, I felt sure it -wasn't- the Guggenheim for precisely that reason.
